To Kill A Mockingbird: Harper Lee

This is our October read and a great book to restart the book group. We all have read this probably in school or in one way or the other... it's time to read it again and remember the wonderful story! Book group will be held this month at Joyce Fife's home, and will most likely be on the last Thursday of every month at 7 pm. Please invite everyone you know that would like to come and have a great time discussing books!

Richard Paul Evans' Newest Book

This is a great book! My mother-in-law dropped it off at my house after she read it and it only took me a few days to read. One thing I really love about Richard Paul Evans' books is that the chapters are really short. So you can either read a little at a time, or if you keep reading it feels like you are reading it fast! This is a great Christmas story about a boy who falls in love for the first time. He really learns what service is all about and learns to appreciate life. It is told from his point of view from when he is older and looking back on his life. It goes well with "the little match girl" as well. I love his books and always look forward to reading them. They are fast readers that get you in the mood for the holidays. I recommend reading this book to get the true Christmas spirit.

Welcome Sisters!

Welcome Sisters of the Battlecreek 8th ward! This blogspot is for the book group that we have once a month. It is designed for you to be able to post information here about your favorite books, books you have read or would love to read. If you have never blogged before, you are in for a real treat. It is fast and easy and very fun. Just create an account with google. All you need is a username and password. Click on the Sign In button at the top right and it will ask for your username and password and then you can post to your hearts content. Whenever you want to post just click on the New Post button and it will take you to a page where you can type out whatever you want. You can even add pictures on that page as well. Just go to the tool bar and click on the little picture and it will take you to another page where it prompts you to get pictures off of your computer. So if you have pictures on your computer you can post them here on the blog anytime you want! For ideas on what to post you can check out my other blog that I have for my other book group. It is: readingsisterhood.blogspot.com. Hope you enjoy blogging, it's so fun!
